2016 Altitude 2292: 2016 was a beautiful vintage - good yields, a moderate growing season and decent weather through harvest - that allowed us to nail the pick dates perfectly and make wines with minimal intervention. While the yields in 2015 were tiny, the 2016 vintage produced a healthy crop. We had enough fruit for two fermenters, though we still co-fermented the different varieties together as a field blend: 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 6% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot

2017 Altitude 2292: 2017 marked a departure from the drought vintages of prior years. We received above average rainfall in all of our vineyards including Coastview. The rains ended in time for flowering to proceed without impact and most vineyards set substantial crops. And the vines woke up later than prior years, they soon caught up with hot and sunny weather only occasionally interrupted by foggy mornings. We never had enough heat to stress the vineyards and were able to harvest at ideal ripeness. 52% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec.
