Gems From Our Library:
2015 Coastview Vineyard Pinot Noir
LIVE May 22nd 5:30pm PST
This weeks seminar will bring the focus to the incredible Coastview Vineyard and the 2015 Coastview Vineyard Pinot Noir. We will have a short weekly review of what is happening in our Estate vineyard. This week wine critic Mary Orlin is joining us again! We are encouraging participation from all of you and will be taking questions -both verbal and written. We look forward to having you join us. We are encouraging participation from all of you and will be taking questions -both verbal and written. We look forward to having you join us. We are encouraging participation from all of you and will be taking questions -both verbal and written. We look forward to having you join us. It is great to connect with folks who live in far flung places who don’t normally get to visit us at the winery.
Here is everything you need to know to join us:
We are recommending that people join us via Zoom as it allows for greater interaction. Participants will be able to interact by both typing questions, chat and asking verbal questions (no video, so don’t worry about appearances). Preference will be given to those who “raise their hand” to ask a question verbally, though you can always submit typed questions.
If you do not want to use Zoom, the webinar will be streamed on Facebook Live and you can participate here*.
Following instructions are for Zoom attendees:
Click the link to register for the webinar. We recommend you do this ahead of time. It will give us a heads up as to how many people to expect in each session and also give you time to make sure that Zoom is correctly installed. (If you do not already have Zoom, clicking the below links will prompt you to install Zoom on your device.)
We will open the webinar 15 minutes early. This will give you time to familiarize yourself with the platform if necessary so that we can be sure to start promptly at the scheduled time.
A bit of guidance for how the virtual tasting will proceed:
We will start with attendees receiving but not broadcasting video and sound- so do not be concerned if you cannot turn these features on. We are encouraging everyone to participate by asking questions and sharing your comments on the wine. To keep us from talking over each other, you can use the “Raise Hand” feature to request your microphone be unmuted. If you prefer not to speak out, you can submit a question in writing using Q&A, however priority will be given to verbal questions.
During the tasting, please feel free to use the Chat feature for comments and to connect with your fellow attendees- tell us where you’re from, how you came to experience Big Basin Vineyards and if you made any food to accompany the wine. Most importantly, tell us what you think of the wines!
*If you are participating via Facebook Live, Ruthie will be moderating the chat and passing any questions on for Bradley to answer.
We are very excited to be launching this program with you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you might have ahead of time. We hope it will be a time of learning, sharing and most importantly, tasting and enjoying wine!
