We are happy to be included in one of the most memorable wine events in California, Big Sur Food & Wine. This quintessential Californian wine event takes place at several breathtaking locations along the rugged Big Sur coastline. By design, each event is small and intimate, bringing together some of the best California wineries with enthusiastic food and wine lovers.
You will find Big Basin Vineyards participating in the following events:
“Gateway to Big Sur” Opening Night at the Highlands Inn in Carmel. Thursday, November 6th. 5:30pm. This event as in years past is has become one of our signature events of the weekend. You will be accompanied by 40+ wineries and 20+ of the areas finest chefs.
“Pinot Walkabout”, Location TBD, Friday Noon to 2:30pm. In years past this has been one of our favorite events, a fun, outside walk-around and exploration of one of our favorite varieties to taste and talk about. You will be joined here by 20+ of some finest Pinot Noirs, and a few culinary masters to accompany some delicious small bites with these great wines.
“Dinner with Friends” Saturday evening 6:30pm, at Henry Miller Library. You and our selected guests are invited to join the Big Sur Food and Wine Committee for dinner with live music and a performance from Big Sur’s own local fire dance troop The Big Surcus. Wines will be poured throughout the evening but you are encouraged to bring something special to share with your table and whoever makes there way over. After-party to follow, if you’re in for the long haul.
