2007 VINTAGE IN THE BARREL

Our first Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir grapes were harvested on September 25th and we completed harvest on November 3rd. It was a long, dry growing season without any significant heat spikes and it shows with the great color, density and flavor development. Our portfolio is growing and we expect to produce three Pinot Noirs, six Syrahs and a Cabernet/Syrah blend in the 2007 Vintage. At least half of these wines will be available only to the mailing list.

YOGA & WINE WORKSHOP

Shakti Yoga Shala, our upstairs neighbor, and Big Basin Vineyards are teaming up to host a second day-long yoga & wine appreciation workshop. Our first workshop sold out and we are planning another. Stay tuned for the date to be announced...

SPRING RELEASE SOLD OUT

The 2005 Rattlesnake Rock Syrah,2006 Branciforte Ridge Pinot Noir, and the 2007 Sri Rosé mailing list offerings sold out soon after their release on April 5th. We will continue to pour these wines at upcoming Events and may have a limited quanity of wines available to those attending these events. We have also started a Waiting List for our Mailing List, so sign up soon to be added at the earliest possible date.

BIG BASIN IN THE PRESS

We recently received favorable press in the February issue of Wine and Spirits Magazine where we were featured prominently in the article "High-Country Syrah." Wine Spectator also listed us as one of ten "Promising New Producers" of Syrah in California.
